About Cycle City Network Nepal
Cycle City Network Nepal (CCNN) understands the necessity of encouraging sustainable modes of transportation in order to create a cleaner and healthier environment. Transportation has become a substantial contributor to air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions as cities and industries have grown, creating negative consequences on human health and the environment. Cycling, according to CCNN, is an excellent remedy to this problem.
The founding group launched numerous initiatives to fulfill its goal of making Kathmandu a bike-friendly city. They staged massive demonstrations and activities to raise awareness about the benefits of cycling as well as the critical need for cycling infrastructure development. Their goal was to have a favorable impact on public opinion and obtain support for their cause.
Since its inception in 2013, CCNN has worked relentlessly to encourage individuals to choose cycling as their preferred means of transportation. To promote the benefits of cycling, we conduct awareness campaigns, training programs, and events. By our efforts, we hope to foster a bicycle culture in Nepal.
As part of our purpose, we work with policymakers to encourage cycling infrastructure development as a sustainable and viable urban transportation option. We support the creation of cycle-friendly infrastructure, such as dedicated bike lanes and parking spaces, as well as the incorporation of cycling into urban planning.
Finally, CCNN is devoted to encouraging the use of bicycles as an eco-friendly means of transportation in order to improve the quality of the environment and promote healthier lifestyles for all. We believe that cycling is a viable solution to the problems of air pollution and traffic congestion, and we are aiming to establish a cycling culture in Nepal.
